So how could Archimedes have made a lense similar to our modern lenses almost two millennia before their modern advent? The answer is that he couldn’t, but he could have made a different kind of lense that is also very effective. He could have made a lense out of glass and water and I can prove that Archimedes had the knowledge and resources to do it.
